Authenticity
Project learning exists on a continuum ranging from traditional classroom projects to authentic project-learning experiences.
We help professional educators and community partners learn how to move along that continuum in a way that works for students and the learning ecosystem.
Start your journey with a Project ARC Assets Inventory or our One-Day Authentic Design Workshop!
Assets Inventories
Project ARC Assets Inventories help us collaboratively discover where you’re coming from and where you want to go. We’ll walk through your school or district (in-person or virtually) with instructional leaders to identify assets relevant to your school and community.
We’re not looking for problems. Instead, we use Appreciative Inquiry, an asset-based method that starts with discovery and dreams before we craft tailored professional learning for your teachers. The assets we discover are the building blocks of your success.
APLE-a-Day: Authentic Design Workshop
Designing for inquiry isn’t just for students. Education professionals are learners, too! In this Authentic Design Workshop, we’ll tackle the question we hear most often from educators:
How can we shift our project-based learning to be more authentic and relevant for students?
Participants will launch independent inquiries, collaborate to flip fears into hopes, and then design an initial authentic project-learning pitch for feedback and reflection.
“We chose to partner with Project ARC because they walk the talk of working to learn. They are thought-provoking, dynamic coaches who masterfully model the teacher’s role in ARC Learning. In 40+ years as an educator, I have not observed facilitation modeled more exquisitely than by this synergetic team.”
Mary Jo Scalzo, former Executive Director, High AIMS Consortium, Cincinnati OH
