Creativity and AI: Contradiction or Opportunity?
Our participation in conferences post-COVID is very selective, as we have never been fans of the "sit and git" approach to learning. However, Dayna spent the day at the second annual PA Creativity Conference, hosted by the Capital Area Intermediate Unit, which brought together educators looking to explore innovative ways to make their classrooms more creative.
Dayna's interactive session, "Unlock the Synergy of Creativity and AI: Transforming Teaching and Learning for Boundless Innovation," challenged teachers to explore the theory of creative destruction and how AI can support teachers in designing creatively rather than replace creative agency for teachers and learners. In the session, teachers analyzed several ideas for AI-generated Authentic Project-Learning Experiences (APLEs). Dayna then guided them on ways to level up those designs to fully realize the potential for APLEs within their content and standards. Participants left with a deeper understanding of how AI can support educators’ creativity and personalize student learning experiences. By empowering teachers to redefine their roles from deliverer to designer, AI allows more time to foster creativity and individualized student engagement.
This hour-long session was a part of one of our newest offerings for a one-day workshop. If you're interested in learning more about how Project ARC can help teachers leverage AI to amplify human creativity rather than replace it, drop us a line at info@proj-arc.com. Teachers need a way to use AI to make their jobs easier without sacrificing the professional creativity that makes personalized learning possible. We’d love to help you with that!
